Lee Westgate, Clinical Instructor, and MSW candidates Jennifer Blue and Edgar Fields provided a panel presentation to Physician Assistant students at George Washington University on the importance of providing affirming healthcare to transgender patient populations. This sought after training was provided in direct collaboration and partnership with GW faculty after PA students noted significant gaps in their curriculum and preparatory training. Presenters provided both formal instruction in conjunction with reflections on the lived experience that comes with attempting to access equitable and affirming healthcare.
