Black History Month is a celebration of the success and many accomplishments made by African Americans throughout history. We are calling all students and staff to join us in this celebration by attending our week of virtual events Monday, February 22, 2021 - Friday, February 26, 2021. As we document history at UMB, we are also asking you to participate in a virtual photo campaign by sending in photos wearing all black and/or holding up the name of a Black life taken to commemorate them. These photos will be displayed on our social media accounts. Please email your photos to SGA@ssw.umaryland.edu We are encouraging students and others in the SSW community to sign-up and participate in the virtual Open Mic Night showcasing your talents in honor of Black History Month/Black Lives Matter.
