UMB Greene Street Pocket Park Mural - RFQ for Maryland Artists/Muralists


The University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) Council for the Arts & Culture seeks to engage an experienced local artist to create a public mural that celebrates the history of the University and the surrounding West Baltimore community. The mural will be located on the north façade of 108 N. Greene Street at the recently completed Greene Street Pocket Park. The RFQ is open to all artist and teams residing in Maryland, with special consideration given to those living in the Baltimore region. Up to four semi-finalist artists will be given a $500 stipend to prepare a site-specific mural. The grand finalist will then receive $23,000 to complete the project. All inquiries or RFQ questions about the project must be received by Monday, November 1st. Applications for the competition must be submitted by Friday, November 12th at midnight.
