The Disruptor is a completely student-led journal that focuses on social issues that are important to us all. It is a digital publication housed within the Social Work Community Outreach Services (SWCOS) office.
We are preparing to launch a brand new issue of the Disruptor and we need your help! As this is a student journal, you decide what you want to see published in each issue. We want to hear your ideas and invite you to join our team! We would like to bring everyone from the School of Social Work (SSW) together for an interest meeting to hear your thoughts and ideas about what you would like to read about in upcoming issues of the Disruptor.
The first meeting will be held on Monday, October 11, 2021 at 12:30pm.

Here are a few things for you to think about leading up to the meeting:
Students:
What topics would you like to see covered in the next issue(s) of the Disruptor?
Are you interested in becoming a writer or working with a team of writers to contribute to the articles featured in the Disruptor?
Are there any topics you think should be given more attention from the SSW?
Alumni:
Is there any advice you feel would be helpful for current students as they go through courses at UMB?
Are there any topics that you feel are important to be covered based on your experience at UMB or in the field?
Faculty:
Are there any topics you feel would be helpful to cover for students, alumni, or other faculty members?
Are there any recurring university events, meetings, etc. that would be helpful to remind students of in issues of the Disruptor?

We are always looking for artwork to include in future issues of the student journal! Send us anything you would like to share with the School of Social Work and you may just see it in the next issue! (Artwork does not have to be related to the monthly theme.)
