Our practice might especially appeal to you as a SSW student. Guided by social science, critical literacies, and community-engaged work, we understand writing as social, negotiated, and contextual — a process that resists standardization and attitudes about language “correctness.”
Working with the Writing Center, you’ll learn about approaches to language and communication rooted in linguistic justice and prepare to advocate with writers and speakers for fair and equitable access and treatment in education and beyond.
Peer consultants earn $17/hour.
