Tai Chi and Bubble Tea

Enjoy an afternoon practicing the Chinese martial art of tai chi, which has growing evidence of treating and preventing various health problems. In collaboration with the Chinese Students and Scholars Association, we'll also be handing out free bubble tea to those who answer questions on Asian American and Pacific Islander culture and history!


Bubble tea is first come, first served and will be served on the first floor lobby of the SMC Campus Center.

In this month's dialogue, we'll examine the roots of the model minority myth, how it blankets over the diverse experiences of Asian American Pacific Islander communities, and how it impacts other racially minoritized groups, especially within the educational system.


The Table is a monthly dialogue series where UMB students, staff, and faculty are invited to discuss current issues and unpack questions regarding race, ethnicity, culture, and norms.
