The Institute's B'More Reconnects Featured on WYPR

Kate Sweeney, Co-Director of The Institute's Parent, Infant, Early Childhood Program, was recently interviewed by Sheilah Kast from WYPR's On the Record about B’More Reconnects.

B’More Reconnects is a new program designed to support Baltimore City minor children of parents who are currently or recently incarcerated. The program provides parenting skill development for parents who are incarcerated to address the needs of their children; training for correctional officers to respond to the needs of parents, children, and families during visitation; examines visitation policies at City correctional facilities; and supports community-based services to meet the needs of parents and the whole family upon re-entry.
