Professors Rick Barth and Bethany Lee and colleagues from Erasmus University have published a paper on Shared Family Care (SFC), and three sub-types, with examples from around the world. SFC involves placing children and parent(s) together into out-of-home settings. SFC avoids the complexities of family separation without diminishing safety.
