PhD student Vashti Adams will present at the American Public Health Association’s 2021 Annual Meeting. Her presentation entitled, "From the Inside Out: A Qualitative Exploration of How Young Black Women Conceptualize Health", underscores the need for public health researchers and practitioners to approach health promotion and prevention efforts from a culturally informed, non-weight centered perspective.
