PhD Candidate Sol Baik Awarded

PhD candidate, Sol Baik received an Outstanding Dissertation Proposal Award from Korean American and Social Work Educators Association (KASWEA). The award will be presented at the business meeting of KASWEA at the 2021 Annual Program meeting of the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) in Orlando, FL on November 5, 2021.

Sol has also been selected as a recipient of the 2021 GSA Mentoring and Career Development Technical Assistance Workshop Diversity Fellow Award. This exceptional educational and networking opportunity supports professional training and growth among early-career trainees from underrepresented backgrounds. This workshop is designed to empower trainees for successful career development and strategic planning. Comprehensive information related to mentoring opportunities, career development, professional networks, and leadership will be discussed with the ultimate goal to produce a successful, well-prepared, and empowered diverse workforce to contribute to the future of aging research. This workshop is supported in part by the National Institute on Aging of the National Institutes of Health under Award Number R13AG072884.
