Nalini Negi Published in Journal of Social Work Education

Associate Professor Nalini Negi, PhD, has contributed to an editorial, "The Hidden Cost of Caregiving During the Pandemic" with JSWE Editor-in-Chief and lead author, Dr. Danielle Parrish, Baylor University and Dr. Cristina Mogro Wilson, University of Connecticut.

The editorial is a call to action to address the exacerbation of existing inequities by the pandemic in social work education. It focuses on the impact of the pandemic on caregiving faculty and students as well as serves to highlight recent research findings indicating that caregiving, most often taken on by women, has led to what some are referring to as one of the biggest crises in the labor force with a record number of women leaving the workforce during the pandemic and in higher percentages than men (Heggeness et al., 2020).
