Associate professor, Nancy Kusmaul; doctoral candidate, Todd Becker; and colleagues at the University of Iowa published a new paper in the Journal of Applied Gerontology that explores estimates and correlates of interest in pursuing trauma-informed care in nursing home social services directors.
Using data from the 2019 National Nursing Home Social Services Directors Survey, authors found high interest (n = 631, 71.7%) in pursuit and that gender, years working in nursing home social services, and social work degree/licensure were each significantly associated with greater odds of interest.
