Associate professor, Nancy Kusmaul; PhD candidate, Todd Becker; and colleagues from St. Louis University have a new paper published in the Journal of Aging & Social Policy that explores the potential implications of state MAID policies on MAID's purported goal to relieve suffering.
Authors found that statutes, as well as statutory revisions, largely sought to improve access toward MAID, ostensibly culminating in reduced suffering for desiring patients.
