Klumpner and Woolley published in Education and Urban Society

Susan Klumpner, MSW, LCSW-C, Doctoral Candidate and Michael Woolley, MSW, DCSW, PhD, Associate Professor, have published an article in the journal Education and Urban Society titled, Expanding after School Program Access for Vulnerable Students: Examining the Efficacy of Federal Policy and Funding.

The research reported examined the impact of distributing federal funding to schools by competitive grant processes, funding intended to advance access to after school programs for low income students. Their analyses showed that such funding is more likely to go to schools with fewer low income students than to schools with larger proportions of low income students.
