Faith, Science, and Trust: African American Clergy & Community Conversation on COVID-19

The University of Maryland School of Medicine, in partnership with Sisters Together and Reaching, Inc., and the University of Maryland, College Park School of Public Health’s Center for Health Equity, is excited to be hosting a community conversation on Friday, Jan. 22, featuring Anthony Fauci, MD — “America’s Doctor” — and several faith-based leaders and COVID-19 vaccine research volunteers from the Baltimore/Washington, D.C., area.

This event will be an open discussion about COVID-19 vaccine research, so we can give members of our communities the opportunity talk about their concerns related to medical research, past and present mistakes, and how we can build trust. The discussion will feature honest, open dialogue and includes individuals who can share their experiences as volunteers in vaccine research.
