Dr. Iris Cardenas and Dr. Corey Shdaimah have been awarded a $274,085.22 grant from the Maryland Administrative Office of the Courts to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the initial implementation of an Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) Screening Tool within Maryland's Family Court system. The two-year grant supports the team's mission to enhance the effectiveness of the IPV Screening Tool in assessing the appropriateness of mediation referrals for parents with IPV experiences. Insights from this evaluation will inform the statewide rollout of the tool. A doctoral student and a master-level student will be supported as part of the funded project, creating unique opportunities for hands-on research and learning experience.
