Dr. Nancy Kusmaul will serve as a co-investigator on a new project entitled “Advancing Person-Centered Dementia Care in Low-Resource Contexts.” Funded by the Alzheimer’s Association Advancing Research on Care and Outcome Measures (ARCOM), with Kirsten Corazzini (PI) in the school of Nursing.
Drs. Corazzini, Kusmaul and their colleagues will partner with persons living with dementia, family members and care staff to elicit perspectives on measuring person-centered care. The research team plans to use their findings to develop an inclusive measurement implementation framework to increase measurement and ultimately capacity for high quality dementia care.
