“Health Outcomes in Costa Rican Older Adults: The Role of Obesity and Stress”

Dr. Carolina Santamaria-Ulloa will present, “Health Outcomes in Costa Rican Older Adults: The Role of Obesity and Stress”. This presentation (online only) will highlight findings from a national cohort study in Costa Rica and Dr. Santamaria-Ulloa will talk about what they have learned thus far about older adults from research published in two articles using the CRELES cohort. How data is planned to be used to influence policy change will also be discussed. Dr. Santamaria-Ulloa welcomes discussion during this talk from others who are studying older adults in other countries to allow for comparison and contrasting of trends regarding chronic health conditions and stress.
