Dr. Angela K. Henneberger Receives $1.45 million Award from the Institute of Education Sciences

Dr. Angela K. Henneberger received an Institute of Education Sciences award (R305A230398) to examine the long-term main, moderated, and generalized effects, as well as the long-term cost-benefits of the multi-tiered Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) framework as implemented in Maryland. This 3-year $1.45 million award connects data from an initial randomized controlled trial examining the efficacy of PBIS with data from the Maryland Longitudinal Data System (MLDS) to examine secondary school, juvenile justice, college, and labor market outcomes. Given the widespread dissemination of school-wide PBIS throughout all U.S. states and in over 26,000 schools and the emerging research of positive impacts when brought to scale, the examination of the long-term impacts of multi-tiered PBIS will provide critical information to inform the national scale-up of this model.
