Do you want to change your community or even the world?

Do you want to change your community or even the world? Check out our fall courses on community action!

Creating structural change to advance the social good and social justice requires, among other things, building the social, political, and economic power of communities that are marginalized, excluded, and exploited. In the fall of 2022, we'll offer three courses to help you become more effective at community building and collective action on issues that are important to the people and communities with whom we work.

- Community Organization (SWOA 704) - Tuesdays, 6-9pm

- Community Economic Development (SWOA 705) - Mondays, 9am-noon

- Social Work and Social Action (SWOA 735) - Fridays, 9am-noon

Students are invited to learn more about these courses and their facilitators at informational sessions via Zoom [] next week - in the days leading up to the beginning of fall course registration:

  • Monday, April 11, 12:15-12:45pm

  • Tuesday, April 12, 5:00-5:30pm

  • Wednesday, April 13, 5:00-5:30pm
