Crumpton publishes new article on governance in Thailand and the US

Adjunct Faculty Member David Crumpton and his Thai colleague at Khon Kaen University, Grichawat Lowatcharin, have published another article on local governance in Thailand. Another co-author is the dean of the School of Public Policy at Rutgers-Newark. In this article they compare cases of consolidation of small municipalities in the US and Thailand. The US case is Princeton, NJ. While the article may not be of obvious interest to social work and social workers, it offers evidence regarding how structural factors such governmental consolidations impact social services. For instance, in the case of Princeton the research found that the consolidation provided an opportunity to create a new seniors and public health service center. The article citation is:
