Crumpton and Roche to Present Paper at NZ Symposium



On December 10, 2021, David Crumpton, SSW adjunct lecturer and Julia Roche, UMB MSW graduate, will present a paper at the International Symposium on Democratic Governance and Democratic Recession in the Indo-Pacific at the University of Canterbury's Southeast Asia Research Initiative (SEARI) in New Zealand. Their paper entitled, "Rural Grassroots Governance-Building in Myanmar," is based on their research in three rural states in Myanmar. Dr. Crumpton is currently continuing this work with a group of expatriate Myanmar researchers at Chiang Mai University in Thailand where he is a Fulbright Scholar. He is also a Senior Associate at SEARI.
