Barth & Watrous Author New Article on Evidence-Based Practice


Rick Barth, PhD, Professor and Chair, Executive Committee of the Grand Challenges for Social Work, University of Maryland School of Social Work, and Jessie Watrous, MPA, Director of Evidence-Based Programs, University of Maryland School of Social Work discuss their work on Partnering for Success in a new article published in the Journal of Clinical Pediatrics and Neonatology.


Partnering for Success provides child welfare and mental health services, and allied providers, with opportunities to enhance their interagency collaboration and cross-system partnerships by jointly participating in local implementation teams, integrated training opportunities and a leadership learning series. This article discusses current challenges in addressing the behavioral health needs of children who are involved with child welfare agencies and the strategies employed in the Partnering for Success model to meet these challenges.
