The IRIS project of UMB’s School of Social Work invites graduate students, early scholars, peers, and other substance use recovery agency staff to apply for our inaugural Recovery Research Fellowship. Fellows will meet monthly between September 2022 – June 2023 from 9am-4:30pm at UMB’s Campus Center, learning to use research to better integrate peers and strengthen the opioid recovery support system. An honorarium of $1,000 is available for Fellows, along with an award of $5,000 for Fellows’ organizations. IRIS staff will help Fellows to implement research-based projects through their organizations, to use data for program evaluation and fundraising, and to develop a position paper on peer workforce integration. A full description and the application are available at https://www.iris.ssw.umaryland.edu/fellowship.
Applications are due July 1, 2022. Please contact Jon Gilgoff at email@example.com questions or ideas for collaboration. And please forward this announcement widely.
