8/20 Back-to-School Block Party Hosted by Bethel AME, the PSC & Promise Heights

In collaboration with the historic Bethel AME Church, UMB’s Positive Schools Center (PSC) and Promise Heights (PH) welcome all to their Back-to-School Block Party and celebration on Saturday, August 20.

This lively youth and family-oriented event will run from 11am to 1pm at the Eutaw-Marshburn Elementary School playground (located at 1624 Eutaw Place, Baltimore 21217.)

On offer that day are more than 500 free school uniforms for Baltimore City Public Schools (BCPSS) students; more than 200 BCPSS-approved clear backpacks; and Hungry Harvest will distribute 150+ bags filled with healthy and fresh fruits, vegetables, and food items.

As well, more than fifteen community partners will be onsite to offer essential resources and services.

Yet this celebratory event includes even more: a continuing mix of lively music by a DJ; an on-site artist making personalized caricatures; and all visitors are welcome to enjoy free custom-made snowballs (with choice of sprinkles,) free box lunches, and more.

Please share details about this exciting event with your colleagues and community!

Volunteers are welcome to join this celebration and meet our community partners. (If you plan to attend, please wear your organization’s T-shirt so that community members will recognize your affiliation.)
