BHWISE Lifespan:
The BHWISE Lifespan Fellowship will train a select group of advanced-year MSW students to provide team-based behavioral health services to clients of all ages who live in HIGH need, HIGH demand communities.
The fellowship coincides with the advanced year field placement. BHWISE Lifespan Fellows will be supported with a stipend of $10,000 per student. Students starting their advanced year field placement in the fall of 2021 who have a concentration in Clinical or Clinical/Macro, with a specialization in behavioral health, children & families, health, or aging are eligible for this program. The number of fellowship opportunities available for the 2021-2022 academic year is dependent on funding.
BHWISE IOWA:
The BHWISE-IOWA (Interprofessional Opioid Workforce Advancement) Fellowship will train 11 social work students alongside 4 psychiatric nurse practitioner students and a psychiatry medical resident, for the 2021-2022 academic year, preparing them for interprofessional practice in treatment programs that serve individuals, families and groups affected by opioid use disorders and co-morbid health conditions.
The fellowship coincides with the advanced year field placement. Fellows will be supported with a stipend of $10,000 per student. Students starting their advanced year field placement in the fall of 2021 who have a concentration in Clinical or Clinical/Macro, with a specialization in behavioral health, are eligible for this program.
Both Fellowships select fellows based on a competitive application process.
