Me and White Supremacy Discussion Group

The Anti-Oppression Work Group and the Alliance of Anti-Racist Social Work Practitioners are collaborating to facilitate a discussion group for the Me and White Supremacy workbook, by Layla Saad. This group is open to all social work students who identify as white or feel they have benefited from white privilege. Participants will complete the workbook on their own time and the group will meet at scheduled intervals to unpack, discuss, and offer support as we move through this crucial and challenging work. We are expecting everyone to purchase their own books, but please reach out if you are unable to acquire a book. The book can be purchased on Amazon. Our first meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, August 11th at 6pm. At our first meeting, we will decide as a group how often and when we want to meet for the rest of the discussion group sessions. If you are interested in participating, please fill out this google form link by Tuesday, August 4th, 2020. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd2tUlSJJeONuTy9HmjYpi3PLGT0Hd4_zp7kc694XEeHQ--dA/viewform?usp=sf_link In solidarity, The Alliance and AOWG
