Third-year PhD Student, Todd Becker, has a new paper published in Death Studies that explores the relationship between various types of health care utilization and death anxiety in older adults. Using nationally representative data from the Health and Retirement Study, Becker found that overnight hospitalization, overnight nursing home placement, and outpatient visit were all statistically significant predictors of death anxiety.
