MSW Student Judith Park Pens Commentary on Overdose Prevention Sites

Judith Park, an MSW/MPH student, has written an Op-Ed, entitled, "Overdose Prevention Sites Needed Now More Than Ever" in Maryland Matters. In the article, she makes the case for the passage of the Maryland House Bill (HB464) Overdose and Infectious Disease Prevention Services Program. This bill would establish by a community-based organization to provide a place for the consumption of preobtained drugs, provide sterile needles, administer first aid, and provide other services. These programs promise to reduce harms associated with drug use including infectious disease and overdose.
