Support Promise Heights and Bmore for Healthy Babies this Mothers Day

Since COVID-19 has made one-on-one visits nearly impossible, Promise Heights’ B’more for Healthy Babies (BHB) of the University of Maryland, School of Social Work has developed significant ways to support new mothers of Upton/Druid Heights by extending special services. These have included weekly virtual prenatal and postpartum support groups; delivering diapers, wipes, and breastfeeding supplies; providing breastfeeding virtual support sessions by certified lactation counselors; and hosting virtual check-ins with expectant and parenting families (ages 0-3,) as well as much more. BHB’s newly launched “B’more 2020 Mother’s Day” drive seeks to gift household items to these new mothers and support their journey to create a healthy and nurturing home for their babies and keep all families safe. This year, we welcome your gift to help make this year’s Mother’s Day even more special by honoring new mothers who can’t enjoy traditional celebratory gatherings. Each gift of $25 will provide a visit from a BHB Resource Mom or Dad to assess the family’s needs, as well as a special onesie. Thank you in advance for helping this Mother’s Day be meaningful for our special mothers during this difficult time!
