David Crumpton Continues Work with ActionAid-Myanmar

Adjunct faculty member David Crumpton has been contracted by ActionAid-Myanmar as consultant for a new project involving village level leadership development in Chin and Kayah states. This project involves applying the feminist research perspective to consider different models of leadership in community development projects in these post-conflict settings of Myanmar. There will be a particular focus on women in leadership roles. This is Dr. Crumpton's third project with ActionAid-Myanmar. Earlier this year he published a report on participatory planning and community development in Kayin state. He is currently completing an evaluation of the organization's Safe Spaces program that promotes urban safety for women and girls in Yangon and Mandalay. In the spring semester, Dr. Crumpton taught SSW courses in social welfare and social policy and evaluation research. He also introduced a new online version of comparative social policy.
