MSW Students Needed for Mental Health Mutual Aid

April 6, 2020

Baltimore Neighbors Network (BNN) provides mental health support to Baltimore City residents. Clinicians can volunteer to provide pro bono services. Students (and other unlicensed folks with experience) can volunteer to provide mental health mutual aid to people, who want some support, but don’t need a clinical level of care.

All volunteer work will be done over the phone through a centralized number. Other BNN volunteers will refer people interested in mental health mutual aid to us directly.

To get involved, you can sign up to be a trained volunteer http://baltimoreneighborsnetwork.org/volunteer/

You can also email me, Ava Hawkinson, MSW student athawkinson@umaryland.edu. I’m interested in creating a group of BNN-participating students so that we can collaborate and support each other!
