LAST DAY TO SUBMIT A VIDEO TO BE CONSIDERED FOR 2020 STUDENT CONVOCATION SPEAKER

If you are interested in being a 2020 Student Convocation Speaker, please submit a 5-minute video file of you delivering your speech to Dean Henriette Taylor at studentservices@ssw.umaryland.edu by (TONIGHT) April 6th at 11:59 pm to be considered. Videotaped speeches will be reviewed by the student convocation planning committee; who will decide who is chosen for this honor. The speech must directly relate to the 2020 NASW Theme; Social Workers: Generations Strong (https://www.socialworkers.org/LinkClick.aspx?fileticket=bBiPMKUSo_M%3d&portalid=0). However the way you approach the topic, is totally up to your creative discretion. All May and July 2020 Graduates are eligible to apply. You can either record your speech on your own OR arrange a time with the SSW media center to record there. Please note that you will need to provide enough advanced notice to make these arrangements and submit by the April 6th deadline.
