Attention Extended Field Students

With the change in required field time resulting from CoVid-19, some students in extended field may be able to have their degree conferred in May 2020, rather than July 2020. If the following things apply to your academic plan of study, please complete your graduation application NO LATER THAN APRIL 2nd. Please follow the steps below on how to apply: • Log in to SURFS • Click the Student tab • Click Student Records • Click Graduation Application 1. You will have completed 85% of the required hours for field placement by May 1. If you are not sure of the status of your field time, please contact your field liaison. 2. You have communicated your intention to utilize the option for reduced time to the Field Office (lloessner@ssw.umaryland.edu) today, March 31, 2020. 3. You will have completed all of your coursework by the end of the Spring semester (you do not need summer classes). 4. You have an overall GPA of 3.0 or above. This is an unprecedented option that requires quick action on everyone’s part.
