At What Cost? For Baltimore's Poorest Families, the Child Support System Exacts a Heavy Price -- and it's Hurting Whole Communities

The Baltimore Sun published a nine-month investigation into the child support system online. It shows the child support system sets poor fathers up to fail -- hurting their children and whole communities.


In a city like Baltimore with high levels of poverty and crime, child support is yet another corrosive force. The Sun featured the School of Social Work’s research in this piece very prominently and link and spotlight to Center for Families and Children’s work multiple times, including throughout this alternative story form.
