SSW & SWCOS Programs Included in Abell Foundation's Report on Adverse Childhood Experiences


The Abell Foundation recently published a paper, Prevention, Intervention, and Policy Strategies to Reduce the Individual and Societal Costs Associated with Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) for Children in Baltimore City, written by Elizabeth Thompson, PhD and Joan Kaufman, PhD, both from the Center for Child and Family Traumatic Stress at Kennedy Krieger Institute. The paper lists innovative programs addressing child trauma in Baltimore City and mentions several programs of the SSW, including Promise Heights' B'More for Healthy Babies and Circle of Security program at Frederick Douglass High School, and SWCOS programs: Social Worker in the Library, Family Connections Baltimore, and the Positive Schools Center.
