Assistant Professor Laurie Graham, PhD, will receive an honorable mention of the 2020 Society for Social Work and Research Outstanding Social Work Doctoral Dissertation Award for her dissertation entitled “What is the national burden of intimate partner violence related deaths, and how might we begin to explain their occurrence?.” In conferring the honorable mention, the Society recognizes the significance of the problem addressed in her research, the rigor of the analysis and its contribution to knowledge in social work and social welfare.
The award will be presented to Graham in January at the 2020 SSWR Conference in Washington, DC.
