Welfare Advocates will be holding its 40th Annual Conference on October 28, 2019 at the DoubleTree Hotel in Annapolis. Our theme this year is Forty and Forward: A Foundation for the Future of Welfare Advocacy.
This year, our keynote speaker is Erricka Bridgeford, co-founder and co-organizer of Baltimore Ceasefire 365 and Director of Training at Community Mediation Maryland. Speakers and presenters throughout the day will be joining us from Esperanza Center, Homeless Persons Representation Project, United Way of Central Maryland, and many others. We are also featuring an afternoon plenary focusing on the intersection of education, poverty, and public benefits, specifically on the Kirwan Commission and opportunities for advocacy in the next legislative session.
Registration is $70 through October 7th, and $75 from October 8th until the event at www.cc-md.org/wac. Hot lunch will be provided for all who attend!
For questions or concerns, contact Lisa Klingenmaier at 667-600-3346 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
We hope to see you there!
