The School of Social Work has received the Executive Summary of the Center for Strategic Diversity Leadership & Social Innovation’s report: Call to Character: Diversity. Equity. Inclusion at the University of Maryland School of Social Work and has posted it on its Diversity and Anti-Oppression Excellence web site.
The report was commissioned by UMB’s Office of the President and is based on interviews and surveys completed in the spring semester of 2019. The executive summary is available for the use of all parties interested in considering additional ideas to best advance the diversity, inclusion, and anti-oppression goals of the SSW as framed in our strategic plan: to align all aspects of SSW policy, programs, and practices with the goals of advancing social justice and combating racism and all forms of oppression.
