Professor Westgate presented "The Ethical Case for Confronting the Health Consequences of Financial Vulnerability" at the ACMA Maryland Chapter Conference.
This presentation proposed a new working definition of financial vulnerability; oriented attendees on the connections between financial vulnerability and individual and community health outcomes; outlined roles played by provider bias; and highlighted tactics for reforming and enhancing care for vulnerable populations. This conference was attended by Social Workers, Care Managers, and Executives from around the state.
