Collins, Bellin, and Bledsoe Kick off National Trauma Training

Drs. Kathryn Collins and Mel Bellin from the UMSSW and Dr. Betsy Bledsoe from the School of Social Work at UNC-Chapel Hill facilitated the first annual Train the Trainer for Trauma Adapted Family Connections (TA-FC) sponsored by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), UM SSW, and the National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN).

Participants from across the nation learned about in-depth narrative practice and skills that can be translated to replications of the model to aid families meeting the basic needs of their children who also struggle with trauma symptoms.
