TITLE: Mental and Emotional Wellness for All: Practical, Scalable Approaches to Building Effective Public Behavioral Health Systems for Youth
Eric J. Bruns, PhD is a clinical psychologist and Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, University of Washington School of Medicine. His research focuses on integrated care coordination for youth with complex mental health needs, school-based prevention and mental health programming, parent and youth peer support, and promoting use of research-based strategies and treatments in public child serving systems. He serves as Director of the National Wraparound Initiative (www.pdx.edu/nwi) and Associate Director of the UW School Mental Health Assessment, Research, and Training (SMART) Center (https://education.uw.edu/smart). From 2002-2004, he was a faculty member at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, during which time he co-founded the Institute for Innovation and Implementation, now housed at the University of Maryland School of Social Work.
