Sue Westgate, MBA, MSW, LCSW-C, Clinical Instructor, presented a national webinar in collaboration with Health Quality Innovators (HQI) entitled: “A Trauma-Informed Vision of Health Equity."
The goal of this webinar was to: make the case for the connection between bio-ethics, trauma-informed care, and management of vulnerable populations; position that case within the context of today’s complex landscape of systems of care; and challenge healthcare providers to rethink clinical modalities and lenses of practice in order to positively impact individual outcomes. This webinar was attended by 100+ providers from a variety of care setting to include inpatient, outpatient, community-based, and post-acute care. Attendees confirmed that the content of this webinar was essential information that needs to be integrated into effective healthcare practice.
