Cultural and Linguistic Competency Seminar June 21

2019 Cultural and Linguistic Competency Seminar to be hosted by the Behavioral Health Administration (BHA) and the University of Maryland, School of Medicine Training Center. The Seminar will take place at The Meeting House (Room 100), 5885 Robert Oliver Place, Columbia MD 21045 on Friday, June 21, 2019 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The fee to attend this Seminar is $55.00 The goal of the Seminar is to develop and broaden the cultural and linguistic competency/awareness of local behavioral health organizations and providers at the leadership and program levels to meet the cultural and linguistic needs of all individuals served in the PBHS. The Seminar will feature two experts in the field of Cultural and Linguistic Competence: Dr. Karen Francis, Interim Director and Principal Researcher, Diversity and Inclusion, American Institutes for Research and Ms. Jacqueline Coleman, Visionary Leader, Capacity Builder and Change Agent, Vision Que!, LLC.
