Associate Professor Dr. Haksoon Ahn and her colleagues, Denise Conway at Maryland Department of Human Services and Katie Rollins at Chapin Hall University of Chicago, presented a workshop titled “Using CFSR Case Review Results Within a Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Framework to Drive Practice and Outcomes Improvement” at the 21st National Conference on Child Abuse and Neglect (NCCAN) sponsored by the Children’s Bureau in Washington DC. This workshop was one of the highlighted sessions for the 21st NCCAN. The workshop provided an overview of Federal Children and Family Services Review (CFSR) and Maryland CQI processes; described opportunities for states to leverage CFSR case review results to inform an evidence-driven CQI development; and presented how Maryland has integrated the CFSR into the agency’s strategic planning to improve targeted child and family outcomes.
