Apply for the Gwendolyn C. Lee Scholarship Fund for Innovative Practice

A $2,000 award will be given in spring 2019 to a current first- or second-year student who will be continuing in fall 2019 and who has carried out a successful piece of innovative practice at their field instruction site with an organization, community, or on behalf of individuals. Gwendolyn C. Lee, after whom the award is named was, until her death in 1978, a social worker who practiced in a variety of settings in the Baltimore area. She was a firm believer in advocacy and challenged the profession to think in creative ways. Students who wish to be considered for this award should submit a two-page description of the innovative practice which should include: -- why it is innovative, and -- how it has been effective.
