The Palliative Care Social Work Fellow serves on an interdisciplinary consulting team, which aids in the development of palliative care plans for patients and families facing serious illness and end of life throughout MedStar Washington Hospital Center (MWHC). The palliative care social work fellow provides direct clinical counseling, mind-body modalities and crisis/grief interventions to patients and families. The fellowship includes rotations at various sites within the Washington, DC area. The Social Work Supervisor will provide ongoing supervision and mentoring in clinical and other components of the fellowship program.
