Incoming Assistant Professor Jaih Craddock Selected to HIV Intervention Science Program

Jaih Craddock

Incoming Assistant Professor Jaih Craddock, MSW, MA has been selected to be a scholar in the HIV Intervention Science Training Program (HISTP). This 3-year NIMH-funded training program is for underrepresented new investigators and housed at Columbia University. HISTP provides support with grant writing and training regarding new HIV intervention technologies and provides mentorship from leaders in the HIV and technology fields.

As part of the program, Craddock will travel to Columbia University twice a year, once in the fall for training and once in late spring for the program's annual institute.

For over a decade, HISTP has strengthened universities, diversified HIV research, and elevated scholars of color across the country. HISTP has several creative ways to germinate tech ideas -- hackathons, pitch sessions, gamification, design challenges -- and wants you to achieve your research goals using innovative new strategies.

Craddock begins as an Assistant professor, tenure-track, in July. With her MSW from USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work, Craddock has experience working with the LGBTQ communities and HIV prevention among young black women. Craddock also brings experience in network analysis.
