ATTENTION GRADUATE STUDENTS: You are invited to a student-led speaker series on community reentry for persons who were formerly incarcerated. This four-part series will connect what is happening in the real world with practical considerations at each stage in the research process. Exploring the Challenges of Reentry: Perspectives from Practitioners and Service Providers Featuring Andrew Lautar, LCSW Director of Reentry Services Opportunities, Alternatives & Resources – Fairfax, VA When: Thursday, March 14th, 6:30-8:00 p.m. Where: 1101 Morrill Hall and ONLINE (just send an email to ECEC@umd.edu by Wednesday, March 13) Throughout his career in reentry services, Mr. Lautar has held a diverse set of roles in multiple settings including, pre and post incarceration, general reentry services and mental and physical health-related programs. He will be discussing his first-hand experiences working with populations of formerly incarcerated individuals to shed light on some of the bureaucratic and day-to-day challenges faced by practitioners in the field of reentry.
