Redwood Street, Baltimore, MD 21201 **Pizza and refreshments will be provided** please RSVP by 2/19 to tbrown@ssw.umaryland.edu “Findings and Developments from Sabbatical Research” Lisa Berlin, PhD Associate Professor “Analyzing the Value Added by Attachment-Based Intervention to Early Child Development Services: Writing and Righting” Dr. Berlin will describe recent findings from her community-based randomized trial, “Preventing Toxic Stress through Attachment-Based Intervention.” Further, she will discuss her focus on data analysis and writing facilitated by her sabbatical leave. She will also share her thoughts about using this privileged time for self-“righting,” both intellectually and personally, to reflect and strategize next steps. Bethany R. Lee, PhD Associate Professor “Preparing Practitioners to Provide High Quality Services” Dr. Lee will be presenting findings from a few projects related to understanding knowledge gaps and evaluating training interventions for child welfare workers and MSW students to promote the delivery of high-quality services to vulnerable populations. Terry V. Shaw, PhD, MSW, MPH Director Ruth Young Center for Families and Children Associate Professor School of Social Work “Examining Foster Care Reentry” Dr. Shaw will be discussing results from a number of projects examining how we, as a field, currently conceptualize foster care reentry and the factors that impact overall reentry rates.
